About BPE

PDF VERSION

Dear Member, Guest, or Resource of BPE:

The Business and Professional Exchange welcomes you and appreciates your interest and association with us as an organization as you seek to manage your professional career, learn more about how we may assist you in that process, and, or serve as a resource to those that are involved in that process.   The goal of BPE is to create an association open to all individuals who desire to gather for the express purpose of sharing information and resources that allow them to assist both themselves and others in taking greater responsibility for achieving their career and employment objectives.

As members of the Board of Directors of BPE, we recognize that the time that we spend together, both your time and ours, is a precious commodity.   We believe that this time is best spent in working towards achieving the goal of BPE in working with you and not on ‘selling’ you on a product or service that may or may not be related to your career and employment objectives.   To that end, BPE has adopted a policy wherein resource individuals and/or representatives of companies marketing their products and services are limited to the same time element at chapter meetings that our members and guests are in their introductions.   Resource individuals and company representatives are welcome to announce themselves and how they, or their product or service, may be of assistance to our members and guests.   Further, we welcome their bringing and leaving business cards and other materials at the resource tables that we provide for that purpose but, nothing more than that.   The focus of our time together should and must be on the members and guests of BPE.

To avoid any misunderstanding of the position of BPE on this matter, the Board of Directors has adopted a code of ethics and incorporated this code into the bylaws of the association.   These bylaws are available for reading from the association’s Website at www.bpeindy.org.    The section of the association’s bylaws relating to the code of ethics is reprinted on the back of this letter.   The Board of Directors and the officers of our chapters are devoted to making your experience with and at BPE a positive one.   If you have any questions or concerns related to our code of ethics or, have suggestions on how we may enhance your BPE experience, please do not hesitate to contact an officer of your chapter, call us at 317-252-9947, or use the ‘Contact Us’ link at the Website above.

Thank you for your interest in BPE and please accept our very best professional regards.

 Sincerely,

Board of Directors,

The Business and Professional Exchange
